A graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (class of 1959), Julie’s forty-year career included work in academic, stock, regional, and educational theatre. Since 1970, most of her work was with Theatre Three, where she directed the group’s second production, Spoon River Anthology. She received praise for leading roles ranging from dramas such as The Lion in Winter and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest to comedies such as Bedroom Farce and A Little Hotel on the Side.
